Introduction to visual communication course aims to mention
briefly about the main topics of Graphic Design. such as the process of
visual communication, the alphabet, the earliest visual languages, the
typography basics, the parts of chracters, or how do chracters sound. Including
these introductions, this course also aims to teach how to make research,
mainly to use the computer for that, and aims to make the students have
a vision. The course is going to be thaught in English and in this course, there are going to be lectures, slideshows, projections and critique sessions. Please be a part of the world, listen to music, read, see exhibitions and listen to conferances, surf through the internet, have hobbies, travel if possible and do not lose your will and excitement to learn new things. Soon you will find out that all of these attitude will be a progress for your designer skills. |

It
is important to know the past and the process of which the visual communication
had been through for a graphic designer
candidate, so that each student’s participation and attandance is
required. Also each student is responsible from the reading material which
can be found in the photocopy room, and should come to the class having
read the texts mentioned. Homeworks should be given in on time, and no
late homework will be accepted after deadline. All research homework will
be hand in via e-mail to viscom@anadolu.edu.tr, except where mentioned.
Lastly, taking notes in class session is strongly adviced. |
